Resumen

Este artículo analiza cientos de documentos archivados del gobierno estadounidense para visualizar las prácticas de influencia y control empleada por los Estados Unidos con respecto a la política dominicana de los años 60 en el marco de la Guerra Fría. Se centra en particular en la figura del profesor Juan Bosch y otros caudillos de la época. La investigación busca también promover estudios archivísticos del mismo tipo, con vistas a construir una narrativa más completa de la historia dominicana.

Emil Mella, The New School, New York

Director Asistente de Estudios de Política Económica en el Center for New York City Affairs (“Centro para Estudios de la Ciudad de Nueva York”) de The New School. Realizó esta investigación como estudiante de maestría en el Centro de Estudios de Posgrado de la Universidad de la Ciudad de Nueva York. Ha escrito ensayos sobre temas sociales y políticos para el Brennan Center for Justice y otras publicaciones.
