ECOSUASD, Órgano of the Institute of History at the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD)
The journal ECOSUASD is the organ of diffusion of the Institute of History of the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo. It was created in 1993 with the editorial guideline of serving as a spokesperson for the concerns of researchers and investigators, as well as contributing to the dissemination and reflection of historical knowledge of the general public. It is a biannual publication of historical dissemination and diffusion that publishes research articles and historiographic essays in addition to providing testimonies and documentary sources on all areas of national, Caribbean and continental history.
The publication has neither thematic restrictions nor theoretical or methodological orientations.
The purpose of the journal ECOSUASD is to divulge and disseminate the research developed by the community of history professionals, as well as amateurs of historical studies at the national, regional and continental level, in order to promote the debate of ideas and to make visible the research generated by this community.
ECOSUASD receives and accepts original and unpublished works for evaluation throughout the year on topics of Dominican, regional and continental history. It does not accept texts that have already been published in print or digital media. The articles submitted to the journal are subjected to a rigorous process of arbitration through peer review with the double-blind system, also known as double review under anonymity. Reviewers are chosen by the journal's editorial board.
ECOSUASD is aimed primarily at researchers, professors, students and the general public who love historical knowledge. The content of the articles and reviews are the sole responsibility of the authors. The publication language is Spanish, and it is published every six months.
It is listed and indexed in the Latindex directory. It is a free access publication, totally free for both authors and readers.
