On December 18, 1963, residing again in Spain, I wrote a letter to Antonio García Vásquez. The letter was as a protest to the statements made by Antonio lmbert Barrera and Luis A. Amiama Tió on November 18, on the occasion of the second anniversary of the death of the six comrades who were assassinated by Ramfis Trujillo and his henchmen at Hacienda María before their final march to Europe. The statements had been published in the national press. My letter was written in protest of the assertion maintained for more than two years that Imbert Barrera and Amiama Tió were the only survivors of the deed of May 30, 1961.
