Professor Eric Hobsbawm is one of the most important historians of the present century and, without a doubt, the most solid of the world historians alive in the West. Emeritus professor at the University of London and the New School for Social Research in New York, his work of more than fourteen books and countless articles has touched various areas of historical, sociological and political knowledge.
