Abstract

Coming out of the expulsion, we have written a pamphlet entitled El Destierro (The Banishment), with the purpose of combating a bad political system that, in our view, is unjust, immoral and cruel. In the sad condition of expatriates, we would never have given birth to it, because we were very far from having lived in the Homeland, under the murderous, perfidious and tyrant Government of General Báez; but today that there is Justice, Liberty and security for all the inhabitants of the Republic, we publish it shielded in the guarantee that they have to offer us.
